This is how long it takes you to make, prep, or package one item (not a whole batch). Example: If you make 6 items in 60 minutes, that’s about 10 minutes per unit.
What does this mean?
Overhead is your behind-the-scenes business cost: software, website, insurance, tools, equipment wear, etc. A simple estimate: monthly overhead ÷ average items sold per month. Example: $200 ÷ 80 items ≈ $2.50 per unit.
If you offer “free shipping,” add your average shipping cost here. Otherwise leave at 0.
Some platforms charge fees on shipping too. Use the toggle below.
Example: a 6.5% fee would be entered as 6.5.
Optional: listing fee allocation, apps, packaging inserts, etc.
Margin = profit ÷ price. If you’re unsure, try 30–40%.
Optional cushion built into the price. If unsure, leave at 0.
